Third full length masterpiece from Oakland, CA's darkly experimental post-punk outfit Black Ice! This album continues to carry the gothic foundation solidified by their previous releases, but "Before The First Light" just seems more intense, as well as astoundingly produced. Seriously, you gotta hear this wearing headphones, there's some weird shit going on! Vocalist Miss Kel's voice alternates between crazed shrieks and barely-there whispering, which integrates masterfully with the pounding drums and synthesized insanity.
