virus372   DASH RIP ROCK · Hee Haw Hell
virus372 (2007)
Classic album from the undisputed kings of Southern Country Punk! This follow-up to Recyclone is a country punk opera based on Dante's Inferno?!? With spoken parts and good ol' rock-n-roll, Dash Rip Rock tells the story of Donkey's tour of Hell (populated by ghosts of Lynrd Skynrd and hippie jam bands) with Ol' Virg. As if a country-punkified version of a 14th century Italian epic poem isn't over the top, guest stars (including Mojo Nixon and Jello Biafra) guarantee that Hee Haw Hell is a true piece de resistance!

virus361   FLESHIES · Scrape The Walls
virus361 (2006)
After three long years, here's the latest record from Oakland punk-fuzz-rock-?!? faves Fleshies! Breaking away from the punk rock tradition of banging out a record in a few days, they took their damned sweet time making the most ridiculous album possible. This is a spirited 17-song record that successfully molests punk rock. Including a Sparks cover with Jello Biafra on co-vocals, "Scrape the Walls" bounces everywhere from somewhat sunny-dispositioned pseudo anthems to sludgy, stoner rock-esque castings. Yes, it's all glazed with Fleshies' unmistakable sense of fuck-you humor.

virus374   THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY · Live At Oslo Jazz Festival
virus374 (2007)
Sizzling domestic release of this stellar live show of The (International) Noise Conspiracy playing with accomplished jazz musicians Jonas Kullhammar & Sven-Eric Dahlberg in 2003. This 10-song set is what happens when T(I)NC's politically-charged MC5-inspired riffage meets Grammy-nominated jazz talent! The collaboration was a one-time event @ the Oslo Jazz Festival and this performance was only available as an import- until now!

virus356   PILOT SCOTT TRACY · We Cut Loose!
virus356 (2006)
Pilot Scott Tracy is a brainchild of Scott and Tracy Cox-Stanton, formerly of the Causey Way. It is a flight of fantasy based on the good old days of air travel when stewardesses coddled you with free beverages and fluffed pillows. Their music, described by one critic as "aggressively homo," is sometimes raw, sometimes pretty, sometimes serious, sometimes silly, a delicious collision of early punk and new wave. It's more diverse than their excellent first AT release, Any City- check out this high-flying release!

13: "Take A Flight II" (6:09) - MP3 (5.6 MB)

virus363   RATOS DE PORAO · Homem Inimigo do Homem
virus363 (2006)
"Man, the enemy of men!!! White caucasian cancer corroding life mercilessly!" These sweet words open Ratos de Porao's new album, Homem Inimigo do Homem, their first release since Onisciente Coletivo! This album marks the band's 25th anniversary making them one of the oldest, continually active, and most intense bands in hardcore. Mixing riffs inspired by thrash metal with the most furious elements of the punk from the last 30 years, "Homem Inimigo do Homem" is simultaneously a return to their mid 80's sound and an antidote to the extinct trends RDP survived over the years. Check out the limited Spanish gatefold import LP!

virus317   SLIM CESSNA'S AUTO CLUB · The Bloudy Tenent Truth Peace
virus317 (2004)
CD Repress finally available! SCAC's gospel revival-like performances have left a trail of converts (known as Cessnuts) all across this great nation and beyond, hungry for more songs about backwoods livin' and lord praisin' from Slim, Munly, and company. Energized by a new line-up, this record stirs up the country and westerner in the most urbane city folk, calling up influences ranging from Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Sr. & III, 16 Horsepower, and Nick Cave. Think a country Alice Donut!?!

virus362   TURN ME ON DEAD MAN · Technicolour Mother
virus362 (2006)
We're proud to present TMODM's second cd! Just re-released on AT, these 11 cuts showcase their ability to transcend genres and styles, melding it all into a tripped-out fusion of all that is right in rock! Contemporaries such as Queens Of The Stone Age and Turbonegro come to mind. Crunching guitar feedback paired with pounding drums and stellar vocals make this an other worldy extravaganza. You can get the vinyl here!
